The UGC said in a press release issued on Wednesday that the December 2020 examination could not be conducted due to the covid-19 pandemic.

After this the UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 examinations were conducted by NTA from 20 November 2021 to 5 January 2022.

The UGC NET exam was conducted in 81 subjects at 837 centers in 239 cities across the country. About 12 lakh applicants had registered in this.

Candidates should note that the cutoff for passing the UGC NET 2021-22 exam will be different for all the subjects.

The cut off marks for Paper I and II of UGC NET is 40% of the total marks for general category candidates.

For EWS//SC//ST/OBC/PWD female transgender candidates, 35 percent of the aggregate marks.
